Hi everyone, Roy Diaz here. Glad to be part of this awesome community. Thank you Matthew for inviting!
I’ve had a bit of an identity crisis with what I drive recently: Toyota to Ford to Jeep. While I’m a Toyota fan boy at heart, I drive a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. Fun Rig. I have an install date with Four Wheel Campers on 2-17-26 for the Project M. Very excited.
Been to a few places but not enough. Alaska is on the bucket list….a must do before I leave this earth I call home.
The Gladiator with 4WC is going to be awesome! I regret having sold my Tacoma flatbed with Fleet 4WC. The handling wasn’t great because of the overall weight. Yours should be perfect. I look forward to seeing it. Are you LEO? I was a Reserve with Santa Monica in the 90s. -Mike
Hey Mike! I super excited for the FWC. I wanted the one you had but like you, I was concerned with weight. The PM is about 350 pounds. My plan is to keep it as light as possible. I do plan on doing some more traveling….would love to meet up someday!!
I’m retired…worked LAPD and San Bernardino PD. I have great memories of Santa Monica PD. Great dept. I thank everyone for their service!!
Roy, your rig with the lighter camper will be perfect. Mine looked good, but even with aftermarket shocks/leaf springs, airbags, etc, it didn’t drive very well. Congrats on making it to retirement. Thank you for your service as well! I’ve had a PI firm since 1995, but slowing down a bit now. Hope to see you on the trails.
