Experience…Mostly western states. Been doing this for a long time.
Started desert exploring in the mid 70’s. Then desert race, then sand toys then rock crawl and now back to desert/mountain exploring.
I started with Toyotas, went through a Jeep phase and back to Toyotas. Currently driving a heavily modded FJ80 and a somewhat modded Tacoma for a daily. I generally pull an enclosed trailer which replaced my small trailer with an RTT. The enclosed trailer is built for moderate trails where the small one has dome hard trails (Rubicon, Dusy..)
I try to get out once or twice a month and just go somewhere even if its alone. I’m looking forward to explore Utah soon.
