Christian in SoCal with 3rd Gen 4Runner

Christian here! I’ve used headhunter or socalheadhunter across various forums, since the mid ‘90s.

A 3rd Gen 4Runner is what I take out these days.

I’ve been all over SoCal over the last 30+ years.

Most of that was in my ‘78 CJ-7 (sold), ‘81 Scrambler (rolled in 2011) and ‘85 Scrambler (burned in the Eaton Fire).

In no particular order, I want to revisit places I’ve been to in the past, places I’ve never been to and places I don’t remember I’ve been to.

I’ve always enjoyed exploring abandoned mines.

A big highlight for me has always been the camaraderie. I remember occassionally going out with a group of Jeep guys that would do runs where they would tell anyone who wanted to join that they ALWAYS stop for a 2-hour lunch. These guys cooked up some serious meals out there and it was fantastic!

I’m working on completing my cabinets for the back of the ‘99 4Runner. The shell is done and I just need to make and mount the drawers.

I look forward to good times ahead!

Grateful to have you here, thanks for the intro Christian. Looking forward to seeing the 4Runner when I get back in town.

… and hopefully creating some more memories so next time you leave a comment here you’re not talking about Jeeps.

*it’s official, the Toyota <> Jeep cards have been played…

You’ve been more successful than I have.

‘66 CJ6 with hard top and trailer (sold)

‘99 4Runner evap code and trans put it in the shed this winter. Personal circumstances force more reliable transportation.

‘24 4Runner current ride. Slow build.
